A Great Difficulty It Is.....
I
It is difficult to know
What does the heart want
It is difficult to know
What should the heart grant
II
It is difficult to know
How should the mind think
As it is difficult to know
what should one make
III
But, lately, someone appeared
A romantic one, almost a poet
Just as magic, he came with great speed
So that one couldn't know wether gloom was he or light
IV
He created that ambivalence of the profound sentiment
Between what one loves and what should be loved
What seemed near became far and distant
And what seemed clear became ambiguous and was missed
V
You, heart that achs, have never had a scar
Now, you want to recall the past
That had no scar, not a harm, and say that that is far
Has far passed, that thing that has never been asked
VI
One is should one love or hate
And there is still one more question
Should one follow reason or heart
A difficult one to answer; yes, that is the question....

First and foremost, the divine function of the heart is to love. Second, the emotions of the heart has to be in harmony with reason for self actualization to be possible. The two have to walk hand-in-hand like in a healthy and blissful relationship between man and woman. I like the articulation and insight of the poem. A nice piece indeed. Thanks for sharing. woooow ican read this millions of times at any place any time and still relate to it excelent brilliant write...i have been stuck in that confusing place so many times...i know exactly what every line means..i've been there very well penned, if i talk about every line, i will not finish keep up the good work, never stop writing
