A man and a woman,
Hitherto unknown, were made known
By a hand pollination,
More by convention than conviction.
The hungry wolf was on the prey
As the cage was bolted in.
The cage was bolted out too
When they yielded their calves.
Lured by the identity
They endured the differences
And preserved the unity.
They remained like that
For the need of companionship
And the want of dependence.
People brand them a loving couple.
