A Haunting Voice From Graveyard Poem by Alexander Foald

A Haunting Voice From Graveyard

As I remember,
Back then where all the things still stood up
Under the old oak that supervised our lives
The last memory hanging on a thread

My past could have never been unfold
And my future still not the one I’m looking for
As I walk through the valley of wandering souls
I start to lose my sensibility to madness

And the sun won’t shine again
And the night will only pour the rain
I dream of escaping through this nightmare
A reality which confines the truth behind the stare

My mind becomes obsolete and vain
My body feels heavier than coral stones
This soul seeks redemption through the pain
Yet it screams to be fondled by bones

Therefore it makes me think

How long it’s been,
How much it cost me
To finally get through here
To finally forget what it means

To being alive
To have a wonderful sun
To smell a spring flower
To let yourself roam free
