A House In The Woods (Sonnet # 87) Poem by Tina Rizk

A House In The Woods (Sonnet # 87)

I dream of a little house in the woods
Where peace of mind is surely undisturbed
A nooked house by a brook would be good
Surrounded by trees, quiet mood, unperturbed

Would you come to live with me, sweet soulmate?
We'll write love poems gazing at sunset
And while the sky puts on its starry veil
We'll light a fire and in your arms I'll rest

Our life will be filled with beatitude
Hand in hand we'll walk the sacred love path
Heart to heart we'll deeply inhale quietude
Forgoing the city's hustle and mess

O soulmate as long as I am with you
My heart and soul roam high in the sky blue
