I just love the Yucca plant
With their pale yellow blooms
But they are a little spiky
And need some extra room
They aren't just looking pretty
Native Americans knew just how
To weave the leaves into baskets
And make soap from the roots somehow
And the Sunflower is attractive
Tall and unique as well
With large brown centers
All across the country they dwell
It's so fun when you drive around
To observe all of these things
The country gives us everything
What a joyful time it brings
The barns so old and tattered
But beautiful, don't you think?
A good place to sit yourself
For a little while to think
Hay fields and colorful flowers
Along the roads you see
I'll always love the country
It brings such joy to me!
a very good 'poem drive'...you bring out very beautifully what you observe around there, Marilyn...good rhyming 10
