A Kiss From A Stranger
Those voices on the stairs, they whisper poems
Like those eyes in the mirror, they aren't mine
There are hands in my bed, pushing me out
That conversation with my father, it wasn't real
Those kisses in the dark, they don't exist
(I don't care who you are)
All together the doubt is growing
And the fear of never knowing
What these creeping figures think of me
Are the things, I bleed to make, adored
I can't stand the sight of my own handwriting
But I know I HAVE to keep trying
Cause every now and then
I get a kiss from a stranger
And it tastes good
And it makes all of this worthwhile
This empty house is full of love, for a second...
(I don't care who you are, just...)
I don't care, just kiss me!

I really like this poem and I personally think that it expresses what many people feel inside and the words fit together perfectly it's added to my favourites :)
If this is just a poem for the sake of a poem - it is great.....but if it is real and trying to find out a stranger from the dark, it is frightening and rather disturbing. The write
accomplishes what it sets out to...........happenings beyond logic. Thanks for sharing.
nice poem... i enjoyed it a lot.. once in a while i do look for a stranger to talk to.. it's easier to trust a stranger sometimes..heheehe
This is a very evocotive write. I love the notion of 'I don't care who you are', that feeling that sometimes we just need someone, anyone to give us a glimpse into something new. Good stuff, I enjoyed this very much.
