A Lady Poem by gbenga amusan

A Lady

A lady you are,
I was much more aware
I hunted your feelings
Like a bird of prey
All that's left is to pray.

A lady she has always being,
I was wrong from the beginning
I kept pushing you
Util it fell and shattered in june.

The damage has been done
The tiny pieces are what we need to join
It will indeed take time for it to heal
But painstakingly we'll knit together that broken pieces.
And I know with patient we'll get back our peace.
A lady she will always be and should treasured as a queen.
