A Layman's Proposal Poem by Suren Sun

I had no interest towards Love
And I felt that it is mere a rove
Thought that I am happy as I am now
And can be happy like this way somehow
I saw you for the first time in an occasion
Thereby I sensed that my life have a mission
The time came when it happen to met you alone
I couldn’t expect this would set my life to new zone
I gauged my life as a lone rider in the appealed dusk
Strange, to my experience, I never felt my life so dark

Amazing, what is this feeling when I think of you?
And at times you come to my thoughts unsought
I feel restless with your seldom shove
Surprise, there was no affinity in us direct
The allure with you doesn’t allow me to stay single
I can see my life now in a different angle
Things that doesn’t enticed me are in range
Entering into a world that looks very strange
The same roads I walked now look different
The same light shapes now very bright as my heart
The same old wreath now smile with a luscious fragrance
Every voice turns to a lovely song that is so melodious
Sometimes unknown happiness engulfs me like darkness
The whole world around seems so pretty and nearness

I see the difference between now and past
I swear for me, there was absolutely no rest
Mind was full of ambiguous thoughts and wishes
Now life wants to spend in memories that blushes
Recalling you in my heart that takes me to height
You stay in my eyes though you are not in front
Just imagining my life with you in future as a rife
Wouldn’t it be a great achievement in my life?
If you call this as love here is my proposal
Can you please be with me in my life as celestial?
