A Legend Poem by Ilari Rahja

A Legend

Something, I looked.
Something, I filled.
Some giveth meaning.
At the last…

Thoughts, feelings.
Those loved, along the way.
As I sat, studied.
Read, imagined deeds!

Tales from beyond…

Far and wide.
Yearned for those.
Wondrous adventures, of might.
To release me, from thy fright.

Dispossess, my heart.
From thee, simple need.
Of love, hurt!
Demanding deed.

As candles waxed…
Vexed ahead.
With their little lights showed.
Much inflamed, my heart.

Fed, exploded!
Its wanton malady.
Those, I was wont.
Yearned, for the most.

Dark springs.
Amidst willowed-of-trees.
Mystifying lands.
Forests virgined.

Never before seen.

Its shadows.
Flailing lights.
Yielded, to the rays of sun.
Thus barring, breaking…

Revealing, its green.
Wondrous, skylight.
We raced, through these fields.
Rocks, swamped weeds.

To reach water's edge.
There splashed, our feet.
Laughed, kissed.
Watched that sun!

Setting - Then rising again.

O' what wonder!
Love eternal, I felt!
Was, to be yours.
And Mine…

Lover!

A shadow near.

I felt, your touch.
Every sigh, breath you took.
As I summoned them...
Cherished, power within.

Filled, my chest.
With thy silken skin.
Kisses that covered.
My lust, life and all…

All I thirsted upon.

Those eyes, I would sink into.
With them cover.
The entire horizon.
All our wishes to be.

Become - A delight, to thee.
Those, I thought of...

From roar of thunder.
Onto whispers diminished.
Thoughts, wishes heard.
Yielded, nevermore…

So I was found.
To be writing, this deed.
A meager letter.
To someone unknown.

Since my heart.
Was lost, sadly burned.
Onto nothing, but ash.
To wonder and to wisp!

Shift around, in the wind.
Ravage me, forevermore...
