How do I start this sadness-ridden letter?
Which I write to you my never ever lover,
I am forced at last to push the sadness over,
Here goes my pen, my never ever lover.
I say dear you, my never ever lover,
How do thou do in this seeming chilly weather?
‘Cos here I am, not feeling any better,
Thou art the cause, my never ever lover.
Why did you do this that you have done?
I'm sad as it is; it feels like I mourn,
This pain you have caused that I carry like a cross,
I cry, I'm sad, my never ever lover.
I scream, who is that who has said such a thing,
Tis said that love, doesn't cost a thing,
Oh love, with it such great pain it brings,
Your fault it is, my never ever lover.
Oh why! Oh why should it be as it is?
My smile, my love's all I want, I insist,
But you know at first I tried to resist,
You did this to me, my never ever lover.
I have tried you see, to put you in the past,
But this lock without key should not be called a heart,
I have prayed, I have cried while sitting on my mat,
I plead, cease to be, my never ever lover.
At this point it seems, my tears will overflow,
And my pen has sensed and now begins to slow,
I wish I could stay but now it's time to go,
Yours ever lovingly, my never ever lover.
