A Little While Ago
A little while ago
the sparrow which was sitting on this fence-stone
turning its beak this way and that way
Shook the space
Wonder why, but taking me to be non-human
It allowed me to go near
The heart that drew close wished to
Imprison it for all times
Alas! as the weak heart turned
blinking
Which way
Which moment
everything would flew away.
