You found love, tried to hold on
But it slowly slipped away
It left you hurt and broken
You tried to move on, but you can't
You tried to date, but it hurts to much
You cry every night, wishing he was by your side
He said you were beautiful, then walked away
He told you he loved you
Then sent you on your way
He said he's not ready to settle down
Then why go so far?
He made you happy
He made you feel safe
He made you trust him
Then just threw you away
Now all you wanna do
Is curl up in a ball
Let those tear drops fall
You feel like you have to be strong
You see him clearly in your memories
A tear slowly runs down your cheek
As you pray, you and him will be together again someday
