No longer wanting that one thing
That one thing that I so desperately needed
Distance broke our bond
Conversations dwindled with time
A heart wrenched in the mechanical break down
Once again we meet and the bond forms again
But nothing can be done
We both had moved on now wishing that we hadn’t
Our own actions and thoughts betrayed the new ones in our lives
Tears of frustration
And a mind lost in thought
Questions destroy the little that was left in me
What if this and what if that?
All things that couldn’t be undone
Iced over and lost deep within
A heart overwhelmed with emotions
Overflowing on to others
Such a small word had changed every thought in my head
With a feeling so strong
Comes unconditional happiness
And
Overwhelming pain
