A Lovely Old Church Poem by Marilyn Lott

A Lovely Old Church

I saw this church while traveling
Back off the main drag
Worn and weary it seemed to me
Many parts were beginning to sag.

But you know, as I got out of my car
And stood not too far away
I heard the most beautiful voices
For God was with me that day.

I heard them talk about Him
How He was always there for them
I felt it so strongly within my heart
Is I heard such lovely hymns.

I snapped a picture to remember
A sight so perfect to me
This lovely church in the country
I know that you too would love to see.
