A Lovers Song Poem by Mark (Owen) Williams

A Lovers Song

The winter grey now turns to green, the birds come out to play serene.
And river brooks begin to flow, the harvest mist now starts to glow.
The sunshine clear across the land, the seas now gently on the sand.
The deep blue sky it warms my heart, new families begin to start.

Chorus
But more than this my one delight, to see love’s uncorrupted might,
When bodies touch senses elate, allowing none to hesitate.
For this it is a lover’s song, please don’t forget me when I’m gone,
And dreams together we do share, my love for you, my need to care.

Each time I think of you I smile, your flowing hair, exquisite style,
Your sparkling eyes are seas of blue, they make me long to be with you.
For nature has so many gifts, the tenderness of life it shifts,
My focus once more onto you, I see your love alone is true.

Chorus

Your loving ways I seek your touch, your healing hands I need so much,
You are my muse my very light, you warm my world you make me right.
Your body soft against my skin, your smiling face invites me in,
Your heart it grabs my soul to keep, lost deep within your eyes I sleep.

Chorus
