A Mere Mortal Poem by Salman Ravoof

A Mere Mortal

Shattered all my dreams without a clue,
Wonder when'll they all come true.
Riding on air so thin and thick,
Slipping along the way so quick.

Gazing down and up through the eye,
A moment more and soon it'll cry.
The darkness binds the bright source,
Entangled to make each ones' course.

The fluid flows to tempt the shore,
Flowing forever and ever more.
We're just mere mortals on this earth,
Never grasping all that's worth.
