A Million Bells Poem by John Howard Davies

A Million Bells

A MILLION BELLS
by John Howard Davies
4th. May 2017

You're like a million bells
that ring at once
your presence
makes a difference

some many million stars
shine on
in someones heaven
can't all be wrong

save whales
thick green jungles
rice fields
where life stays humble

Remind me when
tell me how
let me know
when this is now

Shake rebellion
savour thirst
miss the counting
always first

break tradition
peel the sky
steal the tears
when people cry

cram in many
leave the rest
rusty cars
and chicken zest

You're like a million
eyes at night
with no vision
out of light

Press the buttons
smile for them
bless the equal earth
and then?
