When I woke up to this beautiful view
A soul so ravaged and forlorn
Found some peace & joy in this photo of U.

I just kept on looking and looking,
Sans any desire to leave the bed.
Can't say how long I stayed unblinking
But that image never got out of my head.

An archetype of Beautiful Bengali maiden
Draped in a majestic & gorgeous saree
A face where innocence & bliss are laden
Can rid any soul of pathos and worry.

Even the ornaments are glistening more
For being so lucky to be adorned
This beauty deserves to be praised in folklore
And in a world full of you may I ever remain sojourned.
