A Mother Of Five Poem by Nikki Clevenger

A Mother Of Five

Rating: 5.0

A change of life
My life changed from one identity to two
No longer life for myself but life for another
In the instant of bith was Joy
Pure bliss
A door was opened from heaven and I could feel the glimmer of its light
Taken aback
I see her beauty
Born on September 11th I was give an angel
As ther was thousands that day who have suffered and lost
The pang of fear in my chest
That this innocent should feel any pain
I watch her laughter, her love, her Joy
Intrust in me to keep her so
She will be a strong infamous woman one day
I hold her heart in my hand
Till I'm forced to let go

My life changed from two idnetitys to three
The day after the day for love
And love she was
Sweet and true
And headstrong for it
My honest Mayflower
She will be a kind-hearted, warrior women one day.
I hold her heart in my hand
Till I'm forced to let go

My life changed from three identitys to four
The sixteenth
Born of the day of his father, rightly so
Amazed by the feeling of strength from this tiny man
He is his own superhero
Love from a mother to son
Thank you God for your loving gifts
He will make a difference in this world
He will be a beautiful man, strong mind, body, and soul
I hold his heart in my hand
Till I'm forced to let go

My life changed from four identitys to five
The smallest and youngest girl
So vulnerable
I have to be carful and take care
With this myterious wise soul
Faith was her middle name
As a reminder for our little family tree
She will be an imaginative, pearl of a woman one day
I hold her heart in my hand
Till I'm forced to let go

My life changed from five identitys to six
The fortold of his mother, my dream child
His fathers pride
Fair skinned and toeheaded
Sparkling blue eyes
Big and bright with wonder
Babe of the flock
Named of our gift from God
He has so many that adore him
He will be a proud, handsome man of chivalry one day
I hold his heart in my hand
Till I'm forced to let go

My sacrafice!
From big hands
To small hands that grow
I hope I do well enough that they let me have
A glimpse of that glimmer one more time
The doorway from heaven to earth
The light that will be theirs
So I can see them hold their little hearts in their hands
Until they are forced to let go
