A Mother's Love Poem by Ethel Lobitanae

A Mother's Love

I’m just a lucky one to be your daughter, to have someone like you in my life
Let’s remember the hardships you’ve overcome, every single concern and strife
Walking beside me in every path I take, holding my hand in every step I make
I know you’ll do everything; anything that happens to us, you’ll partake

It’s you, a woman whose love never faltered or whose affection never wavers
To me, you’re one of God’s strokes of luck and an answer to my prayers
Like a blooming flower, with your presence, I have grown
Though all these years, because of you, I never felt alone

A million thanks for being a one of a kind mother
I realized my worth and importance, every piece of me, you put together
For us, you’re willing to sacrifice and put everything aside
Behind your smiles and laughter, you try to hide the misery you feel inside

On this new chapter of my journey, taking the steps on writing my own fate
I’ll be one of the preeminent, my success, to you I’ll dedicate
As the time goes by, a lot may change but whatever happens and come through
My dear mother, always remember these three words, I Love You.
