A Motherless Void Poem by Catherine White

A Motherless Void

Tears streamed down his face
When he realized what was happening
But
It was too late now
She stood above him
Made him listen
To words little boys should never hear
Then it happened
She laid down beside him
becoming one of many
That were all there before him
Filling the void
She couldn't fix
So everyday
She filled it with sin

He grew up to do the same
Filling his void with who he could find
The emotionless touch
Of so many
Left him broken and alone
Never fulfilled or satisfied
