A Nail Too Hard Poem by Josey Alfred

Nailed too hard

A fine wood cot,
A teak wood cot
It's all four legs
Sturdy and strong!

It served so well,
From yonder days!
It stood all storms
On its wide spread!

For long it stood
Without a shake
With-stood all quakes,
Without a moan!

But now crackles,
With soft moans
As a hard nail,
Cracked its leg!

Now none use it,
For it shudders!
Even can't hold
A doll on its chest!
……..
