A New Poem Book - With Love From Me To You Poem by Bernedita Rosinha Pinto

What will you say to me
'well done, bravo, don't write more';
no, I will not listen to you.
I will not stop my hand
I will not control my mind
I will keep writing until I die;
I will keep scribbling every word
I think and I remember!
You will know of my golden dreams
you will know of my silver desires
you will know of my valuable vision
as they are all blended together
with chains of determination and dedication.

And as I write I will reveal
which thought harms me or helps me
which action enhances me or encourages me
thro' the day and thro the years of my life and time.
It is either the anguished mind
or the happy heart
that makes one write a poem
to express guilt or innocence,
anger or repulsion,
disagreement or appreciation.

But with me it is my love and my humanity
that makes me converge my thoughts
and deliver my poems;
nothing is more gratifying to me
than a poem book that I formulate
as it holds wisdom and imagination,
inspiration and assessment
of what I feel, what I want to say
so that you can visualize and comprehend
you can identify and share with me
the same fractions
of thoughts, of expectations
of mathematics, of geography
and in the end when you read and glance
through the lines of my poems
you will silently say "yes,
you said it just as much
as I wanted to say it',
only I could concise it
while you are still struggling
to survive the catastrophe
of your fantasies over your realities.

And that is why I chose
to write this Poem book
that while I become the poet,
you become the reader;
while I become the amuser,
you become the audience;
but in this finale
we both become one in the field of poetry
like the ant and the grasshopper
where I choose to write and store my creativity
while you keep romancing
with your swaying emotions.
