A Party Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

A Party

A party

All have come perfumed
-well-dressed, colourful
-the makeups expensive
-have done it perfectly

It cost lot; life's price
-by paying time, blood…

They gather together
-on the sides and centre
-mingle and, while ruffle
-shake the hips in the wind

Oh! Autumn is shameless
-on throne with crown
-it forces the trees:
- 'Undress! ', 'Undress! '
-undress…

And the leaves
- (the orphans)
-cuddle, hug
-dead and cold
-half alive…
-lose remain of being
-decompose, segregate
-veins and nerves, and flesh
-their death makes perfume…
