A Patriot Poem by Paul Sebastian

A Patriot

He stood bravely at his post
Ready to face death, at worst
Carrying arms was not his option
But carrying the flag of his nation
To defend his beloved Mother Land
Under siege, braved till bitter end
Stood he, till his last breath, a patriot
Fought alongside with a compatriot
Blue blood, on nation's soil spilled
A saved nation, freed, stood still.

The beautiful potrait of a patriot, undaunted before the face of death and infused with an electric charge of love for the nation! Behind each nation's freedom, how many such patriots must have spilled their life blood.... Awe inspiring! !
