A Perfect Day Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

A Perfect Day

Rating: 5.0

The seasons are changing
The air has a familiar scent
Like the days of years ago…
Nature’s brush paints the event

Calming green turns into blaze
Fall leaves begin to ignite
Brilliant orange, yellow and red
Saturate… as geese take flight

Fluttering leaves begin to descend
Gathering into a crackling carpet
Covering the ground with yesterday
Raked reminiscently…impossible to forget

A cheerful child leaps into the heap
Scooping and tossing…like confetti rain
Moments flash by of carefree times
I am that child, changed…yet the same

A very nice look at Autumn. one of my favourite times of the year with so much colour. I think it inspires us all to write about it when we can. you have projected a really vivid picture very well. Thanks for the read.10/10 Regards Dave T
