A Pianist's Song Poem by Iskandar Zulqarnain Muhamad

A Pianist's Song

Rating: 4.5

A soft sigh
Followed by a woeful melody
Her fingers moving swiftly yet gently
Her elegance captivating yet sorrowful
As I watched her from above
A beautiful yet sorrowful tune

They applauded her performance
While I sat there in silence
She thanked the audience
As they left apathetically
While I sat there thinking
About the sorrowful yet unforgettable tune

It was a song beyond words
A reflection of her heart
And a reflection of mine too
I can't help but to think
What an unforgettable and haunting tune
