A Place Poem by D.L. Aceves

A Place

Alone I reside
In a room to myself—
All by myself where no one else
Is allowed to step inside.

A little space of peace and solace—
A place—where I can hide.

No woe of any kind
Will occupy my day—
For here I find it safe to stay
Inside this room of mine.

A little space to get away—
A place—to ease my mind.
