A Poem About Another Sister

6Oth BIRTHDAY POEM TO MY SISTER BEVERLEY

Congratulations on reaching big 60
It´s quite an achievement if I may say so your convinced you´ll never get there
Like a bus that's really slow
Ignoring passing years but things just start to happen
It´s passage of time we have to start to map em
Your hair starts getting thinner your eyesight starts to fade
You´d like to be much thinner and bingo wings invade
Your bones they start to ache and your back is often sore
Just to touch your feet becomes a massive chore
You try to put your socks on and wince about in pain
And stepping into knickers is just about the same
You look into the mirror see new wrinkles have appeared
With closer investigation discover you´ve a beard
Your ass has started sagging the firmness is no more
Your wearing bigger knickers and need another drawer
Your breasts become much lower you need a stronger bra
But Platex just don´t sell em well not in Singapore
The liver spots are spreading mingling with your tan
The thought starts to invade you shall I find a younger man
Your daughter has your figure when you were 21
You wish you could wear hipsters and diamante studded thongs
But all in all your happy with your little wrongs
You´ve certainly seen life Bev and your man you would not swap
Happy Birthday Bev and don´t you ever worry
You wear it all so well strutt your stuff with a flurry
You enjoy your night and really dance your socks off
Cos you are just the best my sister who is top dog
