A Portrait Of Mine... Poem by Nabeel Ahmad

A Portrait Of Mine...

Rating: 3.5

In such a big mansion of yours
Will you Hang a portrait of mine? ?

Not because you love me but
Just because of your hate
That i should not be your soul & mate.
With the onset of sun
And decreasing moonlight
Come few questions in my mind-
Will you remember me?
Will you ever be so kind?
In such a big mansion of yours
Will you Hang a portrait of mine? ?

I am sorry if i made you cry
Trust me it was a necessity
That i could wipe your tears dry.
With running stream of water
Meeting its destiny- The sea!
Come again few questions in my mind-
Will you forgive me?
Will you ever be so kind?
In such a big mansion of yours
Will you Hang a portrait of mine? ?

I only want to protect you
From all ailments, cuts and pain.
Yes i love that sweetest kiss in the midst of rain.
With the cute little smile of yours
And cold blood in my veins.
Come again few questions in my mind-
Will you accept me?
Will you ever be so kind?
In such a big mansion of yours
I merely insist- Please Hang a portrait of mine.... :)
