But Not That Pair Of Cups... Poem by Nabeel Ahmad

But Not That Pair Of Cups...

Long way back I began my travel
Then I found a body inside a shell.
A memorable journey it became
When the road ended in a 'Wish Well'.

I Met an old peasant
Whose back had a bend.
Asked him, if he needs lift?
He said- 'I don't have any rent.'

'That won't be a problem sir.
Treat me as your friend.
Talk to me because i am alone
As the world around me has came to an end.'

He said- let me start my story
Which will get over in a count till forty.
Give your loved ones time because
'Hard work is not always the success' key.'

Either we Walk up the ramp
Or we settle up a camp
Let's Remain an underdog
Because The Darkest zone is beneath the lamp...

Remain a friend or turn a foe
Don't like something? You're free to go
The moon too hides in an eclipse yet
I insist, Don't Play the game of column and row..

I Asked for forgiveness
She didn't show up
You know Cafeteria is still there,
But alas! Not that pair of cups... :)
