My name is Katy, and this is my tale: A prayer for our love to one day prevail…
My mom meant the world to me and yet there were fights And many times there were tear-filled nights But as I grew up - we grew apart I always loved her with all of my heart… But that didn’t matter because things seemed to change Opinions were shared and orders exchanged. When she came down ill, I came down hard The idea of loosing her, my heart had been scarred. I did what I thought was best for us both; I made her my best friend hoping for growth. But it wasn’t enough, it’s just wasn’t right And it took our break-up to turn on the light. But now it’s too late to go back to old times Things have been said; a few have been crimes. As much as I miss her I don’t know what to do Because in her own words she said we were through. I don’t know of our future what will happen to us And I’m afraid to call her to even discuss One of these days we may get better But until that day we can’t be together.
I worry and miss her and I pray she’ll be good ‘Cause I know in my heart I’ve done all that I could.
