A Promise Well Kept Poem by Asma Khan

A Promise Well Kept

I will see you again probably
in the bring and shiny dreams
with new eyes and light feathers of hopes

I will meet you again probably
in the quietness of our lost thoughts
with storms of destiny chasing us apart

I will remember you again probably
in the rain of forgotten memories of togetherness
with sour and sweet flashbacks

I will touch you again probably
in the comfort of our love's sake
with dancing stars and raised spirits

I will call you again probably
in the melancholy of the past
with echoing cries of your name

I will dream you again probably
in the dark, lonely nights of pain
with sighs and sorrows of my loss

I will keep you again probably
in my sinking heart forever
with all the love and pain you gave me
