Asma Khan Poems

A wave of emotions ran down my spine,
locking up my eyes and striking me in the past,
left me unspoken, touched me with loneliness,
the stir of broken dreams pinched my heart calling your name.
...

Today like everyday, I remembered him
wonder if I will be missed, too?

Today like everyday, I called him
...

I was a crystal moon on a blue sky,
you were my twilight in a dark night.

I was a wanderer in the forests of love,
...

Your dream came to me so true,
as if you touched me again with your love

Your words struck me like arrows,
...

Rub your tears from the falling skies
embrace another breathe of life after him

Set the spring of your heart to this valley
...

The overcasted weather of my heart tells me everyday
there is a shower of blessing awaiting my presence

The twinkling birds of hopes whisper in my ears
...

It's dark outside, close your eyes hard
The moon lies far from my doorstep
stars are countless like my worries
and my eyes are sightless of your arrival
...

I want to tell you the truth before
my life's ink runs out

I want to make you belief before
...

I named a few people in my life after clouds
When they are around,
I feel refreshed and renewed,
When they are away,
...

I never knew how true lies can be
until you touched my heart yet I didn't see

You will always fill a special part of my heart
...

In the wandering transparency
of the dazzling twilight
came across a star dancing
in the secrecy of the night
...

On the dry leafed book of life,
I trace our names with rich soil of faith,
sometimes the waves of time,
overwrite many thoughts
...

Have I lost the touch of living after you?
I can't seem to have that feeling now.

Have I given up all in the time's lap?
...

Who doesn't want to die?
The one who hasn't lived yet
seen death just as a threat
...

Even when you were gone
the sea remained calm
snowflakes of broken
dreams gathered on my palm
...

Dead roses crumbled over
the barren land of his dreams,
choking dust into the air's silence with screams
...

I was playing at the shore of emotions
with the sand of time
gathering unwritten moments
in my lap of destiny
...

Friends fall from the heaven
Like rainbow colors of seven

Everyday begins with a new dream
...

You let alone me in dark forests of memories,
where shadows of your love fade me each time I look at myself

You let alone me in the prison of pains
...

I lie to myself everyday
but I still love you

I hid my tears from the world
...

Walking Alone In Your Memories

A wave of emotions ran down my spine,
locking up my eyes and striking me in the past,
left me unspoken, touched me with loneliness,
the stir of broken dreams pinched my heart calling your name.

walking wearily down the pebbled road of your name,
I opened old windows of our memories, and slightly
peeked through the glass of my conscious,
a burning desire was awaiting my footsteps.

I heard the days whispering to the nights
'she's broken and worn down but why? '
Morning breeze does not come to sway my curls like before,
warning me of a silent storm coming my way.

Ah, you were truly mine, weren't you?
who embraced the beats of heart in a moment,
and dropped little stars of hope on my eyelids,
and left in a long wait of a never ending journey.
