A Rare Breed Poem by Francis Duggan

A Rare Breed

The successful person who is free of conceit
Is surely a person I would like to meet
For his or her sort of person to say the least rare
Not often one does meet a down to earth billionaire
So few normal sized egos on the wealthy side of town
On the working class and the have nots their type have been known to look down
Though pride it is said does come before a fall
Money the greatest ego inflater of all
You won't often see one of the billionaires club
Having a drink with the patrons of the workpersons pub
One might say to that tell us something that's new
Though there are exceptions such exceptions are few
Down to earth billionaires are rare as rare can be
In working class pubs their kind one seldom see.
