A REJOICING HEART

A Rejoicing Heart

Thank You Lord for a rejoicing heart
When trials and burdens come
When we can give them unto You
Thou blessed Holy One
Who bore our burdens on the cross
What sin that You did bare
You took the sins of the world
To show how much You care

Sweetly doth Your children know
The removal of guilt and shame
Forgiveness and a joyful heart
Because we trust your name
Lord Jesus precious Lamb of God
That Christ of Calvary
Love still flows from Your heart
For sinners such as we

That light, Thou Light, still shines today
To this sin darkened world
Repent, believe, turn from sin
That gospel flag's unfurled
He lives, our Saviour Christ, He lives!
The Resurrection and the Life
Believe on Him today my friend
Be relieved of doubt and strife

Then joy, what joy, takes residence
In our Spirit filled heart
It gives us full assurance that
Our God shall not depart
His Word our source of solace
He will not leave us ever
Though heaven and earth shall pass away
God's Word abides forever!
