A Ride To Mars Poem by Joyce Hemsley

A Ride To Mars

Rating: 5.0

Juliet to Romeo:

One hundred dreams or more
I've dreamed.
A hundred schemes or more
I've schemed.
And oh, so many miles I've roamed
away from my little cottage home
to meet you, Romeo, after dark
beneath the lights of Southdown Park.
Your intention I'm not certain of
I fear it's unrequited love...
So hurry please my Romeo dear
happiness is waiting here.
Heaven will be filled with stars
if you and I take 'A Ride To Mars.'
