A Royal Pain Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

A Royal Pain

Rating: 5.0

The king and queen… they had a child
She was uncontrollable and really wild
She screamed and bossed the maids
She caused the butler to crave Rolaids

When she went to the park with her nanny
She thumbed her nose and showed her fanny
A defiant child, she never did what she was told
She was impossible…all love for her grew cold

As luck would have it …the unthinkable transpired
As she was throwing a fit to get what she required
She fell with a thump from her lofty jeweled throne
Waking dazed…counting stars in the twilight zone

The royal physician rushed reluctantly to her side
Her cranial jolt was severe …her recollections died
She received the best of care while being confined
A changed took place… her outlook was redefined

No longer did she storm around and spew relentless rages
She thanked the staff for their efforts and raised their wages

Very good for some laughs. I enjoyed it and especially this line: counting stars in the twilight zone. You have a great imagination. I picture you with a mind that is always having fun.
