A School On Holidays Poem by Abinaya Saravanan

A School On Holidays

Rating: 4.3

Deserted play grounds
with faded foot prints.
Stilled merry go rounds
with rust on its strings.
Darkened corridors
with dust on its floors.
Closed windows
with cobwebs on its doors.
Clumsy little tables
with carved names on its surface.
shreded leaves of fables
seems to lie with some solace.
Though lavishly watered
the lawn appeared pale green.
No bud or flower
fresh is to be seen.
Thus appears a lifeless
school on holidays
with out students
a body cut off its face.
