A Shady Bend Poem by Ben Harrison

A Shady Bend

Time is an endless road
Traffic going in an endless flow
Never once to be slowed
With wind whipping to and fro

Life is a dead end street
No matter the length the outcomes the same
and in the end you can only rely on your two feet
Carrying you forward into the ever burning flame

But dont let them control your body and mind
only use them as a means to an end
For see with your mind and you will never go blind
and take a turn off Life's road into a shady bend
