A Ship With No Sail Poem by Aaron(AarionLee) Morris

A Ship With No Sail

Rating: 5.0

As I strolled along the beach
A warm breeze caressed my lip
While the sun decends into the sea
I remember yesterday as I sit

The sun will soon disappear
And the waves will retreat
The stillness of low tide
Only full of lies and deceat

I sat it seemed like for hours
As the night wind blew from the sea
Not really caring about tommorrow
Finding it all hard to believe

I'm like a ship with no sail
No wind even to guide my track
Adrift in the ocean of time
Knowing you are never coming back

You died last night with the sunset
If only I could hold you one more time
Yesterday now seems so far away
A tear on my cheek with you on my mind
