The first time we lay together
We were naked, not nude,
Unarmoured and unmasked
Bodies intwined in the silent dark,
And the sun that did shine in,
Through a tear in her curtain,
Glowed over her snowing flesh
And danced in her flaming eyes
To a song of Solomon.
Soft and comely.
