A Silent Pond Poem by nimal dunuhinga

A Silent Pond

Lotuses, Lilies and some insects cajole with me
And I know they never leave me alone.
But I like to see the flowing rivers, creeks and seas
My unseen faraway relatives.
Oh! I am just a stagnant waters here
And no strange waves or peculiar sounds.
When gossip birds sing their beauty
Certainly I get depressed of my usual isolation.
