A Simple Act Poem by simona galimberti

A Simple Act

Rating: 5.0

My love for you cannot be seen
by a simple act of vision

It is deep and profound
almost invisible
leaving no man safe from deception

Deceitful to the naked eye
as the walls of the heart barracade
stumbling and halting those welcome.
A simple act of genuine intention
perception its shadow, its phantom.

My love for you cannot be heard
by a simple act of listening

It whispers through you
without a sound
leaving you mystified with its vibration

Peaceful to the naked ear
as the walls crack and crumble
trembling and shaking your very existence.
A simple act of genuine understanding
liberated by its persistence.

Back and forth, to and fro
surviving the daily ebb and flow
with all the walls finally broken
clearly, by sight and sound
it's a simple act of loving.
