A Simple Prayer Poem by Moth Harris

A Simple Prayer

In a world unknowing, I live here
It's all been corroding, what I hold dear.
There's you and me, A simple thing
but no one seems to care...
The way I need them to.

In a world taken for granted, I live here
It's all been disenchanted, by my fear.
Your hands on my shoulder, A caring thing
but no one else is really there...
The way I need them to be.

In a world where I am alone, It's so clear
It was destroyed on it's own, I disappear
Your comfort is all I have, all I need
I am but a lost prayer...
That will never be heard.
