A Sinker Poem by dun one

A Sinker

Ever stop and wonder why?
See the sparrow swoop through space and time
Just as we do
Then land on the power line
Gently coming to a stand still
Ever lie?
See the countless lives left behind
In some other country so far from our mind
So fortunate for your location
When others are at a loss with their orientation
Ever fall in and out of love?
Under the milky way
Hold her hand
Or
Tell her not to feel this way
This relentless desire
Manhattan, a city of spires
And
Ghosts
Ghosts that taunt you telling you its real!
So real I forgot how to feel
Blake said light shines on the other side
And you burden yourself knowing that time will one day arrive
I once said that I was a positive thinker
How I lied
Because
Time just rolled out to sea and somehow I became a sinker
