A Slice Of Pie Poem by Emily Rosey

A Slice Of Pie

It’s time to be happy now
We’ve done the worst of sins
Let’s wake up and start appreciating
The world that we live in.
Don’t worry i’m not a hippy
Who wants to give everyone free hugs
Or an over emotional dingbat
Who cries if they step on a bug.
But I have had a revelation
Whilst the sun is shining
That we live in quite a cool place
So shut up with all the whining.
Maybe you are in some debt
Or having marital issues
There is nothing that can’t be solved with
A good friend, ice cream and tissues.
Cause what does it really matter
At the end of the day
Life is not all about revenge
Or when you’re getting paid.
Sit outside and chill for a bit
While the weather is a record high
Work out the true meaning of life
Then have a slice of pie!

Hm, resonates with depth. We all need to take holistic looks at life and make corrections.
