I've seen the blood
And heard the screams
And they will haunt me all my life
Seen men that act inhuman
Surely tests my faith in Christ
I don't know if, or why or when
The world will put a spot
To all the filth and degradation
Now forced upon us
Like some huge malignant spot
Is there a point at which we see?
The depth of human misery
Or does it go on for all eternity?
To test all faiths beyond reality
Some lead a life of abject pain
Where relief is but a dream
Or will we end up like the painting
One single solitary scream.
