A Solution Poem by Jon M. Nelson

A Solution

As I look at the wreckage of the past,
I hope the future will bring a change.
I'm surprised humanity was able to last,
But our potential has unlimited range.

So many men have had too much pride.
It's been going on way too long.
Because of this too many have died,
And yet we still don't see the wrong.

As we look upon our fellow man,
There is a place here for us all.
We all must help and do what we can,
Before we all take the final fall.

The wars and hatred have divided,
We all seem to have lost connection.
But our fate has not yet been decided,
We still can make a big correction.

Life is too fragile to survive all the hate,
If we dig down deep we'll find a solution.
But we have not yet sealed our fate,
So there's a chance to make restitution.
