Shall we make a song for all man's sins
that no one wants to hear?
Shall we sing it loud and boisterous,
sing it loud and clear?
We could twist the notes and bend them
so they would bring a tear
to atone for all man's sinful ways
and sing it every year.
On days we mourn
On days we fear
On days we hate
when sins are here.
A song to wake up sinful minds
and teach them love prevails,
a song to reach out 'til it finds
the hurt that sin unveils.
Shall we make a song for all man's sins
that no one wants to hear?
Yes, I say, 'Let's make one up
and sing it loud and clear.'
